I spent a week with the guys at Base2Race working on my swim. It was a really fun and insightful week. I was looked after incredibly well and cant wait to go back, if only just to drool at all their fantastic kit for sale! Oh and to check out their fab new gym too!
A weekend trip that turned into an epic 2-week training camp…
Two races, two super fun post-race parties, two million hours training and two zillion hours working for teamTBB over the past month has meant for one busy Emma, and, now to one very excited Emma as I have started easing down in the build up to my first Ironman – Ironman Lanzarote no less! Cant wait!

I’m back in Thailand again enjoying a teamTBB training camp. I was a bit nervous about what the boss was going to say about my fitness after having some forced time off over the winter from whacking my knee jumping into a pool. I’ve been getting some BRAT loving these past couple of months. Opting against an exotic, early season tri camp, I instead took myself back to Birmingham. This was where I began my uni days and was first introduced to triathlon by the wonderful BRAT club.
I got caught up in the European flight cancellations on my flight home from Thailand. Many on my flight were being re-booked for 30th December so I wasn’t holding out much hope. I wasn’t exactly enthralled at the prospect of spending xmas alone in a hotel room in Bangkok! But, in the end, it all worked out wonderfully and I made it back for Christmas and one of my best friend’s wedding making for one of the best Christmas and New Year’s ever…
