Specialist in Pelvic Health Physiotherapy and Sports Massage
I am privileged to work as a pelvic health physio in the NHS alongside Kate Charlesworth at the Royal United Hospital Bath Foundation Trust. We are working to improve and expand upon the services we offer to men and women at all stages of their life such as women before and after giving birth, during menopause and later in life. We treat the whole person and help someone overcome or understand how best to manage their problems such as pelvic girdle pain, incontinence, prolapse and back pain.
My treatment approach is unique and I draw upon the hands on work I have done as a massage therapist, the attention to detail I developed as a corporate lawyer in London and my previous experience training full time as a Professional Triathlete in Ironman and Xterra (off-road triathlons).
In my private work I work flexible hours at evenings usually Tuesdays and weekends to accommodate their needs. I have helped people with many different problems. I have various examples from sports massage days below and I will update this with some of my more recent work soon. In the meantime, feel free to contact me and I will be happy to talk to you further to see how I might be able to help or make recommendations for the best health care professional or service for you.

David Beakley, Lead Physiotherapist, Men’s Team Cricket Australia –
“Emma provided Sport Massage Services for the Australian Cricket Teams whilst they were in the UK. She is a former elite athlete herself, which gives her a unique understanding of the athletic body and is able to use this knowledge to facilitate recovery and rehabilitation through massage services that she provides. Feedback from the cricketers was extremely positive. I would have no hesitation in recommending Emma to elite athletes requiring sports massage services.”
Megan Roy, Physiotherapist, Australian Women’s Cricket Team –
“Emma was a key contact for us during the Australian Women’s Cricket Team Ashes Tour. She provided excellent massage treatments for our elite cricket players but also went above and beyond in her assistance to us in the co-ordination of other massage therapists. She was friendly, professional, punctual and organised, and, her treatments were clinically appropriate to ensure we maximised our player treatment time in conjunction with physiotherapy. I would have no hesitation in recommending Emma for her massage therapy services, in particular with elite athletes. I look forward to seeking her expertise and assistance during future tours in England. “

“Emma’s confidence and warmth puts me immediately at ease. She seems to have a sixth sense about how my body feels and I really appreciate how responsive she is to the specific problems I have. She’s a great motivator and educator too – I always learn something new about my body. This helps improve my body awareness and help me get the best out of my mind and body!”
Steve Winslow, Centre Manager at Bloc Climbing Centre & 7c climber –
“It’s always great to have Emma there to help to fix my injuries and issues. I appreciate her explaining what she’s doing and why as well as her advice for rehab. It’s really nice to meet other people who are passionate about their careers and genuinely want to help other people get back to their full potential and stay strong.”
Emily Bednall, PA at Bristol University & 7b Climber –
“Emma’s enthusiasm and knowledge inspires me to do all I can to get the best out of my body. Her massages help improve my muscle balance and flexibility, particularly around my neck and shoulders. I always come away well equipped with dynamic stretches and exercises to help maintain these benefits. Emma’s massages are now an integral part of my climbing routine!”
